New Sign For Oberbeck Neighbors

You may have noticed there is another sign posted with our Community Watch sign. We now have representatives from our neighborhood who are members of CharMeck Court Watch. They have been educated and trained to enable them to implement the CharMeck Court Watch system in our response area.

Court Watch is a program where people from the neighborhoods within each CMPD response area get together to track chronic repeat offenders and monitor court cases that adversely affect the neighborhoods where the crimes are committed. They gather factual data when attending court and post the data on the Court Watch website with the hope of creating transparency and change. Many offenders continue to be rearrested over and over. Court Watch seeks accountability from the judicial system and their handling of these criminals.

CharMeck Court Watch members of the South Division meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the South Division Police Station located at:

8050 Corporate Center Drive, Suite 100 (off Johnston Road and near Hwy 51)

More information about is this program can be found on the Court Watch website: www.charmeckcourtwatch.org
